Tudor Tears Into Officials and Fulham After Tottenham's Craven Cottage Collapse

Igor Tudor has wasted little time showing his combative nature, unleashing a blistering 156-word tirade following Tottenham's 2-1 loss at Craven Cottage on Sunday. The Croatian manager, now winless in both matches since taking charge at Spurs, pulled no punches in his assessment of the afternoon's events.

Fulham struck twice within six minutes to seize control. Harry Wilson converted from close range after Kenny Tete's cross found him in space, before Alex Iwobi added a second, finishing with aplomb despite enjoying far too much room on the box's edge following a swift interchange with Wilson. Richarlison's second-half effort provided brief respite, but Spurs offered precious little attacking intent otherwise.

Tudor's grievance centred on the opening goal. He accused Raul Jimenez of deliberately fouling Radu Dragusin in the box before the ball went in, lambasting referee Thomas Bramall for what he branded a "home referee" performance. The manager drew parallels to last week's North London derby, when Randal Kolo Muani's effort was chalked off for an alleged push on Gabriel Magalhaes.

"Their first goal changes the situation on the pitch. It's a big refereeing mistake," Tudor told BBC Sport. "There's no consistency last week, what happened today was incredible."

He continued his critique with characteristic bluntness: "I didn't like the referee today, too much of a home team referee. All the decisions were on their side. He doesn't understand football, the feeling of what is wrong and what is right."

On Jimenez specifically, Tudor was withering: "He was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat, he cheated the player, was pushing, it was cheating and it's a foul. Ninety-nine of 100 people will say it's a foul, it's so obvious."

With Tottenham sitting just four points clear of the relegation zone, Tudor acknowledged the scale of the challenge ahead. When pressed on turning things around, he demanded wholesale improvement across the board.

"We need to find forces inside each of us," he reflected. "When we attack, we lack the quality to score the goals. I want to see everything more, more personality, more wish to do things. We were not good, lacked everything. Attacking and defending, Fulham were much better."

He remained keen to sidestep relegation talk, though his words carried an undercurrent of urgency. "We don't need to think about that, not because it cannot happen, but we must focus on growing mentality as a team, concentration, physically. It's a confidence problem, it's not about systems."
