Spurs Go Big on Endrick as Frank Era Ends; Rudiger Deal Mooted

Tottenham have wasted no time plotting their summer rebuild after parting ways with Thomas Frank on Wednesday morning, reportedly tabling a staggering £100 million package to prise Real Madrid's Endrick away from the Bernabéu.

The Brazilian striker, currently on loan at Lyon, has caught the eye of Spurs' recruitment team, who see him as the cornerstone of their attacking future. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the north London club are prepared to make their record outlay to convince both Real Madrid and the player himself that Tottenham represents the right next step.

Real Madrid, while viewing Endrick as integral to their long-term plans, are apparently open to negotiations should a sufficiently eye-watering offer arrive. Tottenham believe the key to landing the Palmeiras academy graduate lies in building the entire project around him, with talks potentially accelerating in the coming weeks pending Madrid's blessing.

The timing of this push matters too. Spurs are keen to move quickly before other European heavyweights enter the fray, recognising that a deal of this magnitude won't stay on the table indefinitely.

The urgency reflects the chaos of the domestic campaign. Frank's dismissal came after Tottenham limped to 16th in the Premier League, extending their winless run to eight league games following a 2-1 loss to Newcastle. That defeat marked their 11th league reverse this season – a far cry from their impressive Champions League showing, where they finished fourth in the standings.

Alongside their pursuit of Endrick, Tottenham have also tabled an offer to free agent Antonio Rudiger. The former Chelsea centre-back is out of contract at Real Madrid this summer, and Spurs are keen to bolster their defensive options, particularly if Cristian Romero departs.

The managerial situation remains fluid. Tim Sherwood has indicated he wouldn't rule out a temporary role at the helm, though he suspects John Heitinga – currently on Spurs' staff – is the leading candidate.
