Spurs Circle Back on Summerville as Summer Rebuild Looms

Tottenham's pursuit of Crysencio Summerville shows no signs of cooling, with the Spurs hierarchy seemingly ready to make another move for the West Ham sensation when the transfer window reopens.

The 24-year-old Dutch winger has been nothing short of electrifying for the Hammers lately, rattling off seven goals and an assist across his last 10 outings. At a time when West Ham are battling relegation fears under Nuno Espirito Santo, Summerville's form has been the one genuine bright spot—almost carrying the side through sheer individual brilliance.

Tottenham's interest is hardly surprising. The north London club have been desperately searching for someone to fill the void left by Son Heung-min's departure to MLS last summer, and the left-flank situation has become increasingly problematic. Wilson Odobert showed promise before a February ACL injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season, leaving Spurs short on attacking options down that flank.

The January window saw Spurs attempt to tempt Summerville away from Upton Park, but those efforts came to nothing. Now, with summer on the horizon, they're back sniffing around—though they're far from alone in their admiration.
