"Vinai feels Thomas is such a great fit for Spurs in so many ways. A great person, character – who is well liked, but he was warned that the system would not be a fit," an unnamed source told Bailey. "There is a real concern in the club, up high, that this is how things are playing out. The players like Thomas, but do they believe in what he is asking? That is the worry."

Despite the turmoil, Tottenham insist they have no appetite for a mid-season managerial change, though Bailey notes the situation borders on the familiar territory of a vote of confidence. The club remains prepared to invest during the January window to bolster Frank's prospects.

The stakes feel particularly high with West Ham—winless in the league since November 8—arriving on Saturday, followed by a Borussia Dortmund fixture that could prove decisive for the manager's tenure.

Meanwhile, Romanian defender Radu Dragusin appears set for an imminent departure. Roma have tabled a loan-to-buy proposal, with agent Florin Manea indicating a resolution could arrive within the next 48 hours. "The decisive days will be between today and tomorrow.
