Tottenham's grip on Randal Kolo Muani appears as secure as a defensive midfielder in a deep-lying role, with reports suggesting that both Juventus and the player himself are kidding nobody if they believe a January exit is in the offing.

The north London club's recent form tells two very different stories. In Europe, they've been nothing short of magnificent—three consecutive Champions League wins, culminating in a 2-0 dismantling of Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, have secured their passage to the last 16. Back home, however, it's been a different animal entirely: just two victories in 14 Premier League outings have left them languishing in 14th place.

Despite the domestic struggles, Spurs have already bolstered their ranks this window, bringing in Conor Gallacher from Atletico Madrid and Souza from Santos. But it's the outgoings that are generating the most noise.

Juventus have been relentless in their pursuit of Kolo Muani, and according to updates from Fabrizio Romano, the Turin outfit have maintained contact with PSG and even reached an initial agreement with the French club. Yet there's a crucial caveat: Tottenham would need to greenlight any departure, and thus far, Frank's side have been unmoved. Romano noted that Juventus continued making calls throughout Saturday, but emphasized the provisional nature of any arrangement.

Matteo Moretto added further context, revealing that Kolo Muani has even met with the manager to explore whether the club might sanction his release—a sign of how desperately the player is keen on a Juventus return. Still, Tottenham's consistent refusal to entertain offers remains the stumbling block.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has waded into the debate with a blunt assessment: both Juventus and Kolo Muani are fooling themselves if they harbour genuine hopes of a deadline-day deal. Corriere dello Sport, meanwhile, has outlined Juventus's apparent strategy—convincing PSG that Spurs won't come calling in the summer and therefore pitching themselves as the superior destination for the forward.

There is, however, a potential shift elsewhere in the Spurs defence. Roma are eyeing centre-back Radu Dragusin with genuine intent, and the player's representatives have signalled that Italy holds special appeal. Speaking earlier in January, Dragusin's agent made clear that a move hinges on Tottenham's blessing, whilst emphasizing the defender's affinity for Serie A. "He's a gladiator, and gladiators thrive in Rome," the agent stated, with Roma reportedly willing to meet the £22m asking price.

Fiorentina, however, aren't ready to wave the white flag. According to local sources, the Viola have been handed a "glimmer of hope" over a late swoop, with new sporting director Fabio Paratici apparently determined to push matters to the wire.
