Tottenham's search for attacking reinforcements has taken an intriguing turn, with Juventus dangling striker Jonathan David in front of the Spurs hierarchy—provided De Zerbi is willing to sacrifice two of his first-team regulars.

The Spurs boss has made it clear he wants to bolster his attacking options this summer, targeting two or three new forwards with at least one recognised number nine among them. Savinho's £50million arrival from Manchester City is already in the bag, while Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt and Fulham's Harry Wilson have also attracted interest. Yet all three operate on the flanks, leaving De Zerbi still hunting for a central striker to compensate for Richarlison's anticipated departure and navigate ongoing concerns about Dominic Solanke's availability due to persistent injury problems.

David, the 26-year-old Canada international preparing for the World Cup in North America, fits that bill. The Juventus forward boasts a formidable career record: 154 goals across 362 appearances, including a prolific 109-strike haul during his time with Lille. His current campaign in Turin has been less impressive—six goals and four assists in 35 Serie A outings—but that hasn't deterred Spurs' longstanding interest in the striker.

Now, according to Italian sources, Juve are willing to let David leave, but with a significant catch. The Serie A club are demanding Tottenham's goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and left-back Destiny Udogie as part of a two-player swap deal.

Juventus have been actively hunting for a new goalkeeper, and Vicario's desire to return to Italy following an underwhelming season in the Premier League presents an opportunity. Inter Milan are also circling, but Juve sense a chance to land the Italian international. His position appears increasingly precarious at Spurs following Antonin Kinsky's emergence as De Zerbi's preferred option, with the club expected to recruit another experienced keeper to challenge the young Czech goalkeeper.

Udogie, meanwhile, represents another asset Juventus covet. The 23-year-old left-back is being eyed as a potential replacement for Andrea Cambiaso, who continues attracting Premier League attention. Three seasons in north London have been hampered by injury setbacks, with Udogie struggling to string together consistent appearances. A fresh start elsewhere could prove beneficial for his career trajectory.

The arithmetic here is worth examining: David's current market value sits considerably below what Tottenham could command for both Vicario and Udogie combined. That mismatch raises a pertinent question—will De Zerbi genuinely entertain handing over both players, or might negotiations centre on one or the other? The answer will likely determine whether this swap actually materialises.
