O'Hara Backs Spurs to Defy Odds and Survive Relegation Battle

Jamie O'Hara has done a complete U-turn on Tottenham's fate, now insisting the north London club will pull off an unlikely escape from the Premier League's relegation zone.

After weeks of gloom surrounding Spurs' plight, O'Hara has mustered fresh optimism following their 1-0 victory over Wolves last weekend—their first league win of 2026. With four matches remaining, the situation remains precarious: Tottenham sit on 34 points in the bottom three, just two adrift of West Ham's 36, while Nottm Forest (39 points) and Leeds United (40 points) have established some daylight.

Speaking on Sky Sports, O'Hara mapped out a survival blueprint that requires both precision and a slice of fortune. He believes Spurs will collect six points from their remaining fixtures, specifically beating Leeds and Everton whilst suffering defeat to Chelsea and Villa. Meanwhile, he's predicting West Ham will accumulate just four points, with draws against Brentford and defeats to Arsenal and Newcastle offsetting wins elsewhere.

"We are going to stay up on goal difference," O'Hara declared, adding with characteristic bravado: "Spurs are back!"

The optimism, however, comes against a backdrop of mounting injury concerns. Dominic Solanke now faces a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem, potentially sidelining him for between three and eight weeks. The striker joins Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero in what has become a genuinely crippling injury list for the club.

Yet there may be a glimmer of light. Jamie Carragher has highlighted James Maddison as a potential game-changer during the run-in.
