Tonali Tempted by Spurs Project as Newcastle Dig in Heels on £100m Demand

Tottenham have waded into the race for Newcastle's Sandro Tonali, and the midfielder appears genuinely interested in the move—even without European football on offer at the Lilywhites.

The Italian has blossomed into one of the Premier League's premier midfielders over the past couple of seasons, though a January switch to Arsenal never materialised. Big Six sides have continued circling ever since, and now Spurs have officially entered the fray.

De Zerbi's appointment appears to be the key catalyst here. The Tottenham boss and Tonali share Brescia roots, and that shared connection carries genuine weight beyond mere nationality.
