That extra fixture will follow a meeting between the two title contenders on April 19—a fixture that could prove decisive. An Arsenal win would likely seal their first title in three years, but a City victory would leave the race wide open.

Former England goalkeeper Rob Green has pinpointed a critical difference between the two sides, suggesting it's Arsenal who should be concerned heading into that showdown. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Green outlined City's ability to impose themselves decisively: "Man City just decided to win this game, they just decided to take the game away from Chelsea. You compare that to Arsenal and you ask how they are going to try to score a goal and we're not quite sure. It's clunky."

He continued: "It's April and they still haven't decided their best way of scoring. City have players that put their hand up and say: 'Give me the ball and I'll decide the game.'"

City's performance against Chelsea exemplified this clinical edge. Level at half-time, the visitors turned on the style in a devastating spell after the break. Nico O'Reilly broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, and within 17 minutes City had added two more, leaving Chelsea utterly powerless to respond.

Arsenal's display against Bournemouth told a different story. Despite pulling level through a 35th-minute penalty, the Gunners squandered the remainder of the match. Of their 12 attempts, merely three found the target, allowing Bournemouth to secure the points instead.

City's three different goalscorers further underlined their attacking flexibility—a luxury Arsenal appears to lack. Should City take the lead next week, Arsenal will need to find an answer quickly, or risk seeing another title challenge unravel.
