Manchester United's long-standing interest in Aurélien Tchouameni has taken a significant turn, with Spanish media now suggesting Real Madrid could be open to selling the France international this summer.

The development comes in the wake of Jose Mourinho's return to the Bernabéu as manager, a shift that appears to have altered Madrid's stance on keeping their prized midfielder. Until recently, the Spanish club had shown little inclination to let Tchouameni leave, despite consistent speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

The club are keen to bring in Portugal international Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United, and selling a midfielder could fund that operation.
