Camavinga Not Pushing for Exit, But Liverpool Still Have an Opening

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is determined to prove himself at the Bernabéu rather than engineer a move away, despite mounting speculation about his future and a potential Liverpool connection.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has endured a frustrating campaign hampered by injury setbacks, and when available, his performances have fallen short of expectations. Spanish outlet AS has suggested that Madrid are giving serious consideration to offloading him this summer, yet the player himself remains reluctant to abandon ship.

Transfer correspondent Fabrizio Romano has provided clarity on the situation, explaining that neither Camavinga nor his representatives are actively shopping him around to interested clubs. The midfielder's focus, according to Romano's assessment, is on reclaiming his form and securing regular football in the Spanish capital.

"Camavinga wants to fight for his place at Real Madrid," Romano stated. "Camavinga loves Real Madrid, so he still wants to find a way to continue at Real Madrid, also in the future."

That said, the door is not entirely closed on a departure. Madrid are prepared to consider concrete offers should a sufficiently ambitious proposal arrive, and Romano indicated that negotiations could materialise under the right circumstances. "If a big proposal arrives and if the player is keen, for Real Madrid, the negotiation could be possible," he explained, whilst emphasising that the club have not informed Camavinga he is surplus to requirements.

Liverpool have been linked with a potential swap arrangement involving Camavinga and Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, with intermediaries reportedly exploring the possibility. However, Romano's latest insight suggests any such deal remains some distance away, contingent on both Madrid receiving an offer they cannot refuse and the player himself becoming receptive to the idea.

Elsewhere, Romano dismissed suggestions that Paris Saint-Germain are actively pursuing Camavinga at this stage. Premier League clubs have made preliminary enquiries about his availability, though nothing concrete has emerged from those conversations thus far.
