Arbeloa, despite having worked with the defender during his time overseeing Real Madrid's youth setup and reserve side, has yet to integrate him meaningfully into his plans. The new boss was notably absent in handing Valdepenas minutes during the Copa del Rey encounter against Albacete, a fixture where fringe players typically get their chance to impress.

According to Spanish reports, Arbeloa has dangled promises of increased opportunities that simply haven't materialised, leaving Valdepenas questioning his prospects at the Bernabeu. The teenager's disenchantment has reached the point where he is actively considering his options elsewhere.

Word of his availability has not gone unnoticed. Multiple clubs have circled with offers, though Arsenal have emerged as particularly keen admirers. The Gunners have demonstrated what's described as "special interest" in acquiring the Madrid prospect, with manager Mikel Arteta reportedly viewing Valdepenas as an exciting addition to the squad. Arsenal's pitch includes an attractive salary package and the prospect of playing for an ambitious project in English football's top flight.
