The Marcus Rashford saga continues to rumble on, with Manchester United fielding interest from a quartet of potential suitors whilst the England winger's future remains decidedly murky ahead of the World Cup.

Barcelona's loan arrangement sits in limbo as the La Liga outfit refuses to activate their £26m option to make the deal permanent—a deadline of June 15 looms large. According to transfer analyst Ben Jacobs, the Spanish giants have proposed alternative structures: either a reduced £20m fee or a £30m conditional obligation spread across a season-long loan, with performance-based triggers determining the final payment. United have rejected both proposals, insisting on £30m upfront or no deal at all.

With negotiations stalled, the vultures are circling. Tottenham, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and Newcastle have all made inquiries about the 28-year-old's availability. Yet Rashford appears to be playing the role of reluctant suitor, reportedly dismissing overtures from both Newcastle and Spurs out of hand.

Arsenal have now joined the queue of interested parties, with the Premier League champions attempting to tempt the winger to the Emirates. The response? Another flat rejection. Spanish outlet SPORT claims Rashford has no appetite for a move to Mikel Arteta's side, despite the Gunners' persistent questioning of United's willingness to negotiate.

Curiously, even Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has been wheeling out the hard sell, allegedly urging Rashford to accept Arsenal's advances. Reports suggest Flick views him as surplus to requirements and believes a switch to north London would benefit everyone involved. Flick's position is clear: Rashford isn't in his plans, and a Premier League move represents the best outcome for all parties.

United legend Paul Scholes has added his voice to the chorus, endorsing an Arsenal transfer as mutually beneficial. Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Scholes acknowledged Barcelona's existing arrangement but hinted at financial wrangling behind the scenes. When pressed on the Arsenal angle, he was emphatic: "That would be a great move, a great move for both parties. I think Arsenal would be a great move for him and the club."

Yet for now, Rashford remains unmoved by the various suitors circling his signature.
