The account suggested that City insiders are already aware of the direction of travel and have discussed honouring the departing manager with a stand bearing his name.

The account went on to explain that credible journalists have steered clear of reporting the story due to Guardiola's unpredictability—his tendency to make dramatic U-turns without warning apparently makes attaching one's professional reputation to such claims rather risky.
