Arsenal have their sights firmly set on Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, with transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirming the Gunners are prepared to make a substantial push for the England international this summer.

The 23-year-old stands out as one of the Premier League's finest attacking midfielders and has caught the attention of Mikel Arteta's recruitment team. With uncertainty hanging over the futures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal's hierarchy see Rogers as an ideal candidate to bolster their left-wing options, despite his primary position in midfield.

Villa are holding firm on their valuation, demanding at least £100million for their prized asset—a hefty sum that won't deter the Gunners' ambitions. While Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain remains on Arsenal's radar, Romano has made it abundantly clear that Rogers represents the priority target.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano stated: "Arsenal want to sign Morgan Rogers, and Arsenal will go all in for Morgan Rogers, that's the expectation." Barcola, he added, remains under consideration but without any imminent developments.

Rogers Ready to Make the Switch

The encouraging news for Arsenal supporters is that Rogers himself appears receptive to the prospect. BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel reported earlier this month that the Villa star is open to joining the Gunners, while Football Transfers described him as a "superstar" willing to consider only Bayern Munich alongside Arsenal.

According to an X account with nearly 333,000 followers, Rogers has communicated his desire to depart Villa Park to the club's senior figures and has been exploring personal terms with Arsenal. The player is reportedly sold on Arteta's project and vision for him at the Emirates.

Villa and Arsenal are understood to be in contact through unofficial channels regarding a potential arrangement, though the transfer fee remains the critical sticking point. Chelsea and Manchester United have also explored the possibility, but Rogers' preference remains firmly with the north London side.

Last season, Rogers delivered an impressive return of 14 goals and 12 assists across 55 matches for Villa, helping Unari Emery's outfit secure the Europa League and finish fourth in the Premier League.
