United Set Sights on Dual West Ham Swoop Worth £130m

Fernandes has emerged as United's primary midfield target following the decision to abandon pursuit of Elliot Anderson, whose £130m asking price proved prohibitive. The 21-year-old's situation at the Hammers has become increasingly untenable following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League, making a Championship campaign an unappealing prospect. The 22-year-old winger has been a West Ham player since arriving from Leeds United in summer 2024 and remains contracted to the club until June 2029, with an additional year's option built in. The Hammers are unlikely to entertain any departure without a substantial fee, with £50m the figure being touted as necessary to prise him away from the London Stadium.

Summerville's output for West Ham has been respectable, having contributed eight goals and seven assists across 56 appearances in all competitions during his time with the club so far.
