United Ready to Move for £86m Tonali as Anderson Slips Away to City

Manchester United are gearing up for a summer midfield overhaul and have signalled their willingness to table an offer for Newcastle's Sandro Tonali, valued at €100 million (£86m).

The Red Devils have already strengthened their squad this campaign with arrivals including Senne Lammens, Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha addressing goalkeeper and attacking concerns. However, a return to the Champions League demands further reinforcement in the centre of the park.

Former Premier League chief scout Mick Brown has described this development as a "big blow" for United's recruitment plans. Should Anderson slip away to the Etihad, United would be forced down their pecking order of alternatives—a scenario that could prove problematic if subsequent targets also prove unattainable.
