Diallo Taunts Arsenal After United's Emirates Upset Ends Gunners' Home Fortress

Manchester United's Amad Diallo has taken aim at Arsenal following the Red Devils' impressive 3-2 turnaround at the Emirates on Sunday, bringing an end to the Premier League leaders' perfect home record this season.

Mikel Arteta's outfit had not tasted defeat on their own patch in any competition prior to Michael Carrick's United side staging their comeback. The Gunners proved toothless in attack throughout, with their only threatening moments arriving from set-piece deliveries—a limitation Diallo was quick to highlight.

Following the match, the United winger engaged with an Arsenal supporter on social media, telling them to "be humble" and remarking that their "only hope is corner" against United. It was a pointed dig at a disjointed Arsenal performance that fell well short of their usual standards.

The victory represents another statement result for United in recent weeks, following hot on the heels of their impressive showing against Manchester City. For interim boss Carrick, the display strengthens his case as a candidate for the permanent managerial role, though he remains characteristically measured about the bigger picture.

"It's only been 10 days, so it was never going to be perfect," Carrick reflected after the match. "We couldn't expect to come here and suddenly dominate the whole game and the ball. We're just starting off, really. It's a great starting point, but we need to put more layers on top, and we'll try to do that in the coming weeks."

The United boss was keen to praise the collective effort, highlighting how players who came off the bench made meaningful contributions to the win. He emphasised the importance of the squad buying into his approach and the staff's investment in the process.

"I give a lot of credit to the staff and the players for how much they've invested and how much they've bought into it," he continued. "It's alright trying to help them and say certain things, but they've got to live it – and you've seen that with the boys coming off the bench and making a difference. It's a real collective feeling. It's great when it comes together and everyone's in it, and we can celebrate with the fans at the end. That's important and it's a big moment."

With Champions League qualification firmly in sight, Carrick is determined not to lose focus despite back-to-back impressive victories. He stressed the need to maintain perspective and concentrate on the week ahead rather than getting swept up in recent success.

"Like I said from day one, I'm here to do a job and make the team as good as we can be. To have that connection in two ways as a fan and head coach is special. We won't get carried away with two massive results – it's always about what's next, keeping our feet on the ground and doing the right things this week," he said.

When pressed on his own future at the club, Carrick remained coy about speculation surrounding the permanent appointment, preferring instead to focus on the present moment.

"I'm enjoying it. It's a fantastic position to be in. What happens next, I'm not going to answer every week. At the moment I'm really enjoying it, and I'll continue to do what I can."
