United Stand Firm on Diallo While Cambiaso Emerges as Left-Back Target

Manchester United have moved to quash any talk of parting ways with Amad Diallo this summer, despite a dip in form under interim boss Michael Carrick that has prompted criticism in recent weeks.

The winger enjoyed a stronger spell during Ruben Amorim's tenure, but has struggled to maintain those standards since the managerial change. His wastefulness in the final third has drawn scrutiny, with concerns raised about a perceived decline in his all-round contributions.

Yet insiders at Old Trafford have dismissed suggestions the 22-year-old could be moved on, with club sources adamant he remains a cornerstone of their long-term strategy. Diallo himself is said to have privately expressed contentment with Carrick's tactical approach, believing the system plays to his natural strengths in the attacking third.

"Amad is viewed internally as one of the most exciting attacking talents at the club and somebody the Red Devils expect to build around moving forward," sources have indicated.

Exits will inevitably follow to fund summer recruitment as United prepare for their return to the Champions League, with midfield bolstering a stated priority. Two new operators in that department are being actively pursued.

Cambiaso in the Frame

Defensive reinforcement is also on the agenda, particularly at left-back where cover for Luke Shaw remains a concern. Juventus's Andrea Cambiaso has emerged as a realistic target, with the 26-year-old available for approximately £30m.

The Italian full-back has been presented as a genuine option to Arsenal, Liverpool and United alike, with Juventus having signalled their openness to a sale. While domestic rivals Inter Milan, Napoli and ambitious Como harbour designs on keeping Cambiaso in Serie A, the Serie A outfit have made his availability known to several English clubs.
