Donnarumma Ready to Walk if Serie A Calls; City Chase Bournemouth's Scott with £52m Bid

Manchester City face the prospect of losing Gianluigi Donnarumma should the right offer from Italian football come calling, according to his representative.

The 26-year-old Italian shot-stopper arrived at the Etihad last summer in one of the window's shrewdest pieces of business, joining from Paris Saint-Germain for approximately £26m. His previous employer had opted to move on despite his impressive credentials—he'd been instrumental in PSG's Champions League triumph the previous season—primarily due to contractual complications and their desire to blood Lucas Chevalier as his successor.

Donnarumma, who previously spent time at AC Milan, has impressed considerably during his inaugural campaign in English football. However, his agent Enzo Raiola has made clear that a return to Serie A would prove irresistible.

"Today at Manchester City he is finding serenity with the team and the environment, and he likes the project very much. He is also starting to understand the English championship," Raiola explained. "The other day he told me jokingly that playing five or six years there is an adventure, but it was a joke… However, if there is the opportunity to return to Italy, we will take it."

Whilst Donnarumma has delivered the goods this season, Guardiola's outfit recognises the need for reinforcement across the squad in the coming transfer windows. Their attention has now turned to AFC Bournemouth's Alex Scott, the versatile defender who has equally caught the eye of Manchester United.

City have reportedly lodged a £52m offer—valued at 60 million euros—for Scott, with hopes of finalising the deal before summer. Bournemouth view the valuation as reasonable and reflective of both the player's present calibre and his trajectory.

For City, the investment represents a calculated long-term play rather than an immediate gamble. Guardiola's vision involves Scott arriving to develop and learn within an elite environment, rather than expecting immediate first-team prominence.
