Liverpool Ready to Splash €100m on Diomande as Klopp's Side Pursue Winger Reinforcements

Liverpool have made their ambitions clear to RB Leipzig, informing the German club they are prepared to table a package approaching €100m to land 19-year-old Yan Diomande, according to transfer specialist David Ornstein. However, the Reds face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who the youngster apparently favours.

The move for Diomande comes hot on the heels of Liverpool's eye-catching hijack of Newcastle's pursuit of Osasuna winger Víctor Muñoz. The Spanish outfit's €40m release clause was triggered midweek, marking new boss Andoni Iraola's first signing at Anfield following Mohamed Salah's departure.

Yet one arrival isn't deemed sufficient. Sporting director Richard Hughes has made it clear that at least one additional winger must arrive before the summer window closes. Ornstein suggested on his YouTube channel that the club cannot afford to rely on a single target, with Diomande among several names remaining under consideration.

Bradley Barcola, the PSG winger, continues to feature on Liverpool's radar despite the French capital's own interest in Diomande. The 21-year-old has been monitored for months and remains a player the Merseyside outfit view with genuine appreciation.

Should negotiations around Diomande stall, Liverpool have identified three further alternatives. Ben Jacobs reports that Köln's Said El Mala, Brighton's Yankuba Minteh and Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo are all under scrutiny. Ornstein insists Liverpool currently hold the upper hand in negotiations, though Leipzig's desire to retain their teenage prospect and PSG's financial firepower present genuine obstacles. The Reds are well-stocked with options should any individual pursuit prove fruitless.
