The 16-year-old sensation has taken the unusual step of personally instructing his representatives at agency 11WINS to establish contact with senior Liverpool board members, signalling his keenness to make the move to Merseyside. Eichhorn has made no secret of his ambition, with his representatives having previously indicated that a switch to the Premier League represents the teenager's ultimate aspiration.

Though Liverpool initially indicated they weren't actively pursuing this particular profile, the standing and existing relationships of Eichhorn's agency eventually secured a meeting with the club's decision-makers.
