Joe Cole Tipping Doué for Ballon d'Or Glory After PSG's Champions League Masterclass

Désire Doué has earned the seal of approval from Joe Cole, who's predicted the PSG winger will be lifting football's most prestigious individual honour inside the next half-decade.

The 20-year-old's cameo appearance proved the difference-maker in a stunning European fightback. PSG found themselves staring at a 2-0 deficit and had squandered a penalty when Doué entered the fray as a replacement for the injured Ousmane Dembele. Within 120 seconds of stepping onto the pitch, he'd already registered on the scoresheet.

A second goal arrived following Achraf Hakimi's leveller, completing PSG's remarkable turnaround and sealing widespread praise from the pundit box.

"He burst onto the scene last season and gave them that spark during the closing stages of the European campaign," Cole reflected during his TNT commentary duties.
