Prestianni has strenuously denied the accusations, issuing a statement through social media claiming Vinicius misheard remarks he made. The defender insisted he has never harboured racist views towards anyone and expressed regret over threats he received from Madrid's playing staff.

For Vinicius, the latest incident represents another depressing chapter in a career repeatedly marred by racist targeting. The Brazilian international took to Instagram to air his frustrations, questioning both the logic of receiving a yellow card for celebrating and the effectiveness of UEFA's response protocols.
