Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly made a firm decision regarding Marcus Rashford's future role at the club—the Manchester United loanee will not feature alongside Lamine Yamal in crucial fixtures, according to Spanish reports.

Flick's own post-match comments offered a starkly different narrative. "I'm very happy with Marcus. He has shown his quality and he scored an important goal," the Barcelona boss stated. "I can't say anything about his future, we have to focus on the matches until the end of the season."

Rashford himself has made his ambitions crystal clear. At the turn of the year, he declared: "Oh yeah, for sure [I want to stay]. I'm enjoying this football club and I think for anybody who loves football, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player it is an honour."
