Cristiano Ronaldo could yet pull off a stunning deadline-day departure from Al-Nassr, with reports suggesting the 40-year-old Portuguese forward is seriously considering a European return after growing disillusioned with life in Saudi Arabia.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star's frustrations have intensified following Al-Nassr's perceived inaction in the transfer market. With rivals Al-Hilal preparing to land Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad before the window shuts, Ronaldo has viewed the move as a damaging slight against his own club's ambitions.
