Fernandez's Camp Signals Exit Door as Real Madrid Circle Chelsea Star

Chelsea face another summer raid on their talent, with Enzo Fernandez's agent now openly acknowledging that the midfielder wants out of Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have already watched Marc Cucurella depart for Real Madrid, who secured the left-back for £51.8m last month. Now the Spanish giants are circling another Chelsea asset, with Fernandez firmly in their sights.

The Argentina international has previously flirted with the idea of joining the Bernabeu club. Indeed, Chelsea saw fit to punish him last season for his comments about a potential Madrid switch during the international break.

Recent reports suggest the groundwork for a move is already in place. Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari claimed that a verbal understanding has been reached, with Madrid offering a five-year deal worth at least £120m. Colleague Nicolo Schira subsequently reported that Real Madrid are preparing to lodge a formal bid, with Fernandez reportedly having already agreed terms through 2032.

Now comes the clearest signal yet from the player's camp. Agent Javier Pastore has admitted during an interview with Marca that they are "looking at possibilities for him to leave Chelsea," though he stopped short of confirming any concrete agreement with a club.

"Today the player is calmly focused on the national team, he's playing in a World Cup, he's very close to advancing to the round of 16," Pastore explained. "He's only thinking about that and we're looking at possibilities for him to leave Chelsea, but there's nothing firm or confirmed with any club."

When pressed specifically about Madrid's appeal, Pastore highlighted the personal connections drawing Fernandez to Spain. "He has many friends there, and he's very good friends with Julian Alvarez, and in the end, they spend all their free time together there. And I'm also living in Madrid. Every time he travelled, it was to see me and to sort out work matters, but besides that: who doesn't love Madrid?"

The message is unmistakable—Fernandez is ready to move on, and the Spanish capital holds considerable allure.
