Chelsea Plot Bold Madrid Raid: Endrick and Paz Targeted as Squad Overhaul Looms

Chelsea's frustrations in January—particularly their failure to land centre-back Jeremy Jacquet before Liverpool snapped him up for around £55m plus £5m in add-ons—have evidently sharpened their appetite for summer business. The Blues' squad, despite brimming with emerging talent, remains short on genuine quality in key areas, most notably in goal, at the back, and up front.

Now, with the January window firmly shut, the west Londoners are already plotting an audacious move abroad. Spanish sources report that Chelsea have crafted an eye-catching joint proposal to Real Madrid, targeting two of the Spanish giants' most promising attacking talents.

The headline targets are 19-year-old Endrick and Nico Paz. Endrick, currently on loan at Lyon in Ligue 1, has made an impressive early impression with three goals and an assist across his opening three appearances. Paz, who has flourished with Serie A outfit Como, is set to return to Madrid once the club exercises its €9 million buy-back clause in the coming months.

Chelsea's proposal reportedly totals €120 million—approximately £103m—split as €70 million for Endrick and €50 million for Paz. The ambition is clear: construct a potent attacking midfield axis featuring Paz alongside Cole Palmer and Estevao, with Endrick providing the focal point and finishing prowess the club has lacked.

To bankroll this venture, Chelsea plan to offload Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens, Marc Guiu, and Liam Palmer. The departures would shift the squad's complexion entirely, clearing space for a fresh generation of creative talent while addressing the void left by planned exits of young forwards Liam Delap and Guiu.

Liam Rosenior's side showed their teeth in January despite coming up empty. If this summer blueprint materialises, they could emerge with a genuinely transformative set of additions.
