The transfer rumour mill has thrown up a genuine bombshell: Ousmane Dembele's entourage has formally approached Chelsea to discuss bringing the Ballon d'Or winner to Stamford Bridge, according to reports, with the move dubbed an outright 'earthquake' in the market.

The PSG striker finds himself at loggerheads with the French giants, with his camp's demands of €60million annually—approximately £52.4million, or roughly £1million per week—having stalled contract negotiations. The relationship between Dembele and boss Luis Enrique has deteriorated to 'breaking point,' with the manager reportedly keen to ship him out as part of a broader squad refresh.

It's worth noting that such wage demands seem rather eyebrow-raising, and frankly, it's difficult to imagine many European outfits stumping up that sort of money. All the same, Chelsea are understood to be 'enthusiastically' exploring the prospect of landing the world-class attacker.

The Blues have cycled through eleven different attacking options across all competitions this season, with Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro seeing the most action.
