Arsenal Ready to Offload Nwaneri as Newcastle, Villa and Everton Prepare Moves

Arsenal's Premier League title triumph has left the door open for fresh squad reshuffles, and it appears Ethan Nwaneri may be shown the exit at the Emirates this summer.

Yet while Arsenal are actively plotting incomings, they're equally prepared to move players on. Nwaneri, a product of the Hale End academy, finds himself surplus to requirements following a disappointing loan stint at Marseille in the second half of last season. The young talent managed just three starts across nine Ligue 1 outings, leaving his Arsenal future decidedly murky.

His potential availability has sparked a feeding frenzy among suitors. Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, are leading the chase and plan to dangle Champions League football as bait—particularly with Nico Paz's expected departure back to Real Madrid via their buy-back clause. However, the Italian club face stiff competition from up to five Premier League outfits, with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton among those circling.

Fabregas's side view Nwaneri as the ideal candidate to fill the void left by Paz's anticipated exit to Spain.

The intrigue doesn't stop at the Premier League, though. Borussia Dortmund have maintained their long-standing interest in the youngster, having previously pursued him a year ago when Arsenal were negotiating fresh terms. Chelsea were also in the mix at that juncture, though the Gunners ultimately persuaded Nwaneri to pen a new deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the German outfit remain hopeful of landing their man and continue to track his progress closely. Dortmund's modus operandi—signing talented prospects with an eye to future resale—fits the profile of a potential move, though the transfer guru stressed that nothing is set in stone.

Romano explained: "Arsenal have not told the player or his camp that he can leave in the summer. So that is not the case at the moment. It is still not decided."

The situation will be properly assessed when the season concludes, with the club yet to make any definitive call on Nwaneri's future. Multiple European clubs remain attentive to developments, but Arsenal's hierarchy will have the final say once their Champions League campaign reaches its conclusion.
