Arsenal have been handed a significant advantage in their bid to land Bournemouth's breakout star Junior Kroupi, following fresh reports that Paris Saint-Germain may be turning their attentions elsewhere.

The 19-year-old has become one of England's hottest properties after an extraordinary debut Premier League campaign. Kroupi, signed from French second-division outfit FC Lorient for just £12m just twelve months ago, has seen his valuation skyrocket to £100m following a record-breaking haul of 13 goals in his first top-flight season for the Cherries.

The teenager has understandably attracted serious interest from across Europe's elite, with the Gunners among the frontrunners in the chase. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano previously confirmed that Arsenal have made contact regarding Kroupi, though competition has been fierce.

Earlier this week, French sources suggested PSG held a significant advantage in proceedings, citing Kroupi's long-held ambition to play in Paris. The Ligue 1 outfit appeared positioned to capitalise on that desire, with Bournemouth standing firm on their €100 million asking price and the player apparently keen on a move to the French capital.

However, Get French Football News now claim that PSG's summer recruitment strategy is pointing in a different direction entirely. Rather than pursuing Kroupi, the Parisians are understood to be prioritising moves for AS Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche and RB Leipzig's Yan Diomandé, leaving the Bournemouth sensation off their shopping list.

The development potentially clears a significant hurdle for Arsenal's summer ambitions in attack, with Romano having previously indicated that strengthening the forward line remains a top priority heading into next season.

Elsewhere, another PSG attacking asset continues to generate transfer buzz. Bradley Barcola, the club's winger, remains the subject of considerable speculation involving both Arsenal and Liverpool, along with at least one additional suitor. Romano has now confirmed that activity is anticipated around the Frenchman's future as the window approaches, noting that Moussa Sissoko has been representing Barcola's interests since 2025.
