Saka Commits to Arsenal Until 2031 as Gunners Lock Down Star Winger

The contract saga surrounding Bukayo Saka appears to be moving toward resolution. According to journalist Ornstein, the England international has struck an agreement with Arsenal over fresh terms that will keep him at the Emirates until June 2031.

Saka's existing deal was due to expire in summer 2027, but negotiations have been progressing behind the scenes. The new contract represents a significant commitment from both player and club, with the terms reportedly reflecting the 24-year-old's standing as one of Europe's premier wingers.

"Saka would be wanted by the biggest clubs in world football if he was gettable," Ornstein explained, "but they knew he was only interested in staying at his boyhood side. The latest deal will be at a level that recognises his standing as one of the leading players in the Premier League and Europe, while he will also occupy a key role for his country at the 2026 World Cup."

The move caps an impressive period of business for Mikel Arteta's outfit. Arsenal currently sit six points clear at the summit of the Premier League table, having invested around £250m during the summer window to strengthen their squad. Recent months have seen William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly all commit to new long-term deals.

Elsewhere at the club, Nwaneri has resolved any uncertainty over his immediate future. However, the player and club have jointly decided he will remain at the club.

"That is not something being considered by either the club or the player," BBC Sport reported, "with the feeling that Nwaneri will learn more by being around a title challenge and training with players such as Saka, Eze and Martin Odegaard than going elsewhere for more minutes."
