Four Results Haunting Arsenal's Title Bid, Neville Warns - But Gunners Remain Favourites

Gary Neville has singled out four particular results as potential title-costing blunders for Arsenal, following their damaging 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday—only the Gunners' third loss of the season.

Despite the setback, Arsenal maintain a four-point buffer over both Manchester City and Aston Villa in the title race. However, Mikel Arteta's side have now gone three league matches without a win, a concerning pattern for a team seeking to finally end their three-year stint as runners-up.

Neville reckons Arsenal should have this wrapped up, yet concedes vulnerability remains. "It feels unthinkable if Arsenal don't win the Premier League," the Sky Sports pundit declared. "They're on that journey to winning it and everyone is falling away. Man City have never been as weak, Liverpool have gone. But City are the danger."

The Manchester United legend pinpointed the encounters against Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and United itself as the moments Arsenal have squandered crucial opportunities. "They've dropped points, winning just two of the last nine points," Neville explained. "I think Arsenal will come through it but it's right we're questioning them. If they drop points at Leeds next week, further questions will be asked."

Neville cautioned that mounting pressure could yet prove decisive. "Arsenal have enough to win the title but there will be pressure especially if Man City win their next game. Until they win the league there will be questions over their mentality because they have fallen at the final hurdle before."

Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira echoed concerns about the Gunners' mental resilience following the Old Trafford outfit's Emirates triumph. "They are still four points clear, but there are still questions about the mental strength of the team," Vieira told Sky Sports.

The former Gunners skipper was particularly critical of the performance's character. "It's not just that they lost the game, it's the way they lost the game. Saka and Trossard didn't produce enough to worry United."

Vieira stressed the need for stronger leadership and mentality. "They need a leader to lift the spirit of the team. They need to understand when they are on the pitch they have to play with more energy and more risks. They have the quality. They didn't play with the freedom to express themselves."
