Arsenal's season may be firing on all cylinders, but behind the scenes at the Emirates, tensions appear to be brewing. Captain Martin Odegaard is said to be weighing up his options, with claims surfacing that he could seek pastures new this summer.

According to the account, the player is open to exploring fresh opportunities, with Declan Rice pencilled in to become the club's new captain from next season onwards.

The plot thickens further courtesy of another X account, which alleges that Odegaard has instructed his representatives to initiate talks with Manchester United over a potential summer switch. The claim suggests the 25-year-old feels undervalued by both the board and coaching staff, with promises allegedly broken and recent friction reported between player and manager.

"Sources say promises made to him have been broken, with high tension reported between Ødegaard and Mikel Arteta in recent weeks," the report states. "He is now 100% willing to leave the club."

Bayern Munich are said to remain keen admirers, though Odegaard apparently favours remaining in English football. A Premier League move to Old Trafford would seemingly take precedence over a Bundesliga switch, with only an exceptional offer capable of swaying him otherwise.
