Arsenal Chase Porto's William Gomes as Trossard Eyes Besiktas Exit

Arsenal are weighing up a move for Porto's William Gomes, the 20-year-old Brazilian sensation carrying an €80m (£69m) release clause. The Gunners have joined Manchester United and Atlético Madrid in sounding out the player's representatives, though Porto are not inclined to negotiate unless someone triggers the full buyout fee.
The Champions League runners-up are actively planning their summer rebuild following their maiden Premier League title in 22 years under Mikel Arteta. Despite last month's coronation, Arsenal fell short in Europe, going down 4-3 on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in the continental final.
Arteta's side have identified multiple areas for reinforcement. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that at least three signings are on the agenda, with a top winger topping the wish list, a midfielder and right-back upgrades also firmly locked in. The left flank attack represents a long-standing priority for the north London outfit, who have tracked potential solutions for several years.
Ornstein's assessment from TNT Sports highlighted the centre-forward position as worthy of consideration too, particularly given Victor Gyokeres' bench appearance in the Champions League final. The Arsenal hierarchy are prepared to match or exceed last summer's spending spree to address their shortcomings.
On the outgoings front, Leandro Trossard could be on his way out. The Belgian started the PSG clash but now faces a full-court press from Besiktas, who are preparing a serious bid for the winger. The Istanbul club have reactivated their pursuit after failing to land Trossard last summer, placing him top of their shopping list for the coming window.
