Juventus Slams Door on Yildiz Exit as Arsenal's Summer Pursuit Hits Wall

Arsenal's hopes of landing Juventus sensation Kenan Yildiz have taken a significant hit, with the Italian club's hierarchy now blocking any summer departure for their prized Turkish winger.

The Gunners have been actively pursuing reinforcements in attacking areas following their Premier League title triumph at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. Questions have surfaced regarding the form of Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard, with one of the pair potentially heading for the exit.

Yildiz had emerged as a prime target for Mikel Arteta's side, with the 22-year-old reportedly viewing a move to north London as an attractive proposition. Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri had previously claimed the Turkish international represented Arteta's "dream" signing, with Arsenal prepared to table a €100 million bid for the left-winger position.

However, TuttoSport's latest reporting suggests Juventus majority owner John Elkann has now put the kibosh on any transfer, refusing to entertain Arsenal's advances. The Italian club's decision stems from a desire to see Yildiz's stock rise further following his World Cup performances before entertaining offers.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have cast their net wider in the market. Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, an England international, has reportedly identified the Gunners as his preferred destination, while Leicester City's Jeremy Monga and Club Brugge's Christos Tzolis have also been linked with moves to the Emirates.

Following Arsenal's Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, analyst David Ornstein outlined the club's transfer priorities. The left-sided attack represents a major focus, with Ornstein suggesting this could finally be the summer Arsenal make a significant move in that area. He also flagged the number nine position as of interest, particularly following Victor Gyokeres' bench appearance in the final despite his impressive debut season.

Ornstein indicated Arsenal may spend at or beyond last summer's outlay, with defensive recruitment also on the agenda. The club is eyeing a six/eight midfielder and right-back reinforcements alongside their attacking priorities.
