Arsenal have mapped out their transfer strategy for the coming window, and it's clear where Mikel Arteta plans to invest his resources.

Fresh off their first Premier League crown in 22 years, the Gunners' campaign ended in heartbreak when PSG knocked them out of the Champions League final on penalties. Now, as they plot their return to domestic dominance, the north London outfit have zeroed in on two specific areas requiring reinforcement.

According to reports, Arsenal have earmarked a world-class striker to challenge Viktor Gyokeres and a creative left-sided winger as their primary targets. It's a sensible assessment—while the squad showed considerable quality this term, there's undeniable room for sharpening their offensive edge.

Monga: Nearly Over the Line

The first piece of business appears imminent. Leicester City's 16-year-old winger Jeremy Monga is poised to join the Gunners, with the deal described as virtually complete. The teenager impressed despite his youth, making 30 appearances for the Foxes this season—a remarkable tally for someone his age. His arrival will represent Arsenal's first new summer addition, though they've already arranged to make Piero Hincapié's loan from Bayer Leverkusen a permanent arrangement.

Where Arsenal Are Targeting

The striker search has drawn links to Julian Alvarez, Junior Kroupi, and Morgan Rogers, though those moves remain works in progress. The winger situation is equally fluid, with Gabriel Jesus potentially departing in search of regular playing time.

Former Crystal Palace forward Clinton Morrison believes Arsenal's strategic thinking is spot on. "They need another striker to put pressure on Gyokeres and contend with Kai Havertz," he explained. "An out-and-out quality striker is essential. And another left winger is crucial—they might lose Gabriel Jesus, who wants regular football."

Morrison went further in his assessment of Arsenal's trajectory. "They need to keep evolving and improving," he said. "I think Arsenal will strengthen again in the summer. They'll be the team everyone's looking at as capable of dominating for a few years."

The bigger picture? While Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City will all strengthen their squads, Arsenal currently sit in the pole position. "At the moment, while those other teams are doing a bit of rebuilding, Arsenal can just kick on and go from strength to strength," Morrison concluded.
