Bent's scrutiny hasn't been limited to the backline. He's also weighed in on the form of summer signing Viktor Gyokeres, suggesting the Swedish striker isn't delivering the goods at present. Despite praising the player's ability, Bent expressed frustration at Gyokeres' involvement levels, pointing to limited touches and a notable absence from the danger areas when chances present themselves. There's growing sentiment that Kai Havertz, who returned from injury to feature for over 20 minutes against Portsmouth, could be the answer in attack.

On Havertz's return, Arteta proved effusive during his pre-match media duties on Tuesday. The Arsenal boss acknowledged missing the German midfielder considerably, describing him as "really fit" and "really confident" upon his comeback.
