Welcome to another 2019 Mock Draft from Front Row Football. A new league year is underway and a few big names were on the move during Free Agency. The biggest move so far has to be the Giants-Browns trade involving OBJ. In case you missed it, the Browns received Beckham and Pick #155 from the Giants in exchange for Picks #17, #96, #133, and S Jabrill Peppers. Here is an updated 7-Round Mock Draft for the Giants in the post Odell Beckham era.
CURRENT PICKS (12): 6,17, 37, 96, 109, 133, 143, 144, 172, 181, 234, 247
TEAM NEEDS: EDGE, QB, OT, DB, WR, LB
Round 1, Pick #6: Rashan Gary, EDGE, Michigan

Right now, I truly believe that Kyler Murray will be taken #1 and that Dwayne Haskins will be off the board before the Giants draft at #6. Every year, teams trade up to secure the top QBs and every team in the NFL can see the Giants needing a QB at pick #6. I can almost certainly envision one team leapfrogging the Giants to land Haskins, whether that is the Broncos, Dolphins, Redskins, or someone else. If this is the case, the Giants should just take the best player available. They have many holes to fill and they would be wise to add some quality pieces to their defense.
Rashan Gary would be a tremendous addition for New York and he would be a great EDGE player in the Giants 3-4 scheme. Gary (6-4, 277) is powerful against the run and pass; his combine performance (4.58 40 time, 26 reps on bench, 38 inch vert) likely secured his status as a top-10 selection.
While it always dangerous to look ahead, passing on a QB here wouldn’t be the end of the world. The 2020 Draft class will likely be loaded with elite QB Prospects (Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Jake Fromm) and the Giants could likely land one of those three next year.
